| Hat Club Next month we are starting our Hat Club which will run for 6 months It will be similar to our Sweater Club, but the projects "should" be done a bit quicker! Each month we will work on a new hat featuring a new technique. Over the 6 months we will cover techniques including: a variety of Cast-ons and ribbing options; stranded colorwork; intarsia; increases and decreases (including using your cables to decrease); short-rows; slip-stitches; and most importantly, how to make your own hat from any weight yarn for any size head! And in December, there will be a bonus project. The goal for the Club is that it will meet twice a month both in-person and via Zoom on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 1.00-4.00 pm and the following Saturday at 11.00 am - 2.00 pm We will offer an evening class if enough people request, so let us know. That being said... ... as it is summer - the dates may be fluid for a bit. For the month of June - our first meetings will be Wednesday, 8th June at 1.00 to 4.00 pm Saturday, 18th June at 11.00 am to 2.00 pm Wednesday, 22nd June at 1.00 to 4.00 pm For the month of July on, our meetings will be back on their normal schedule. The cost of the Club is $45 and you will receive all the patterns, instructions and 20% off all yarn for the hat projects, as well as pompoms and pompom makers. Also, from June through December, you will receive 10% off all yarn purchases. The first Hat Club project will be a basic hat - seems simple? Well, the class will be on how to make that basic hat for any size, in any weight using measurements and a gauge swatch. You will choose the yarn you want to use - we do ask that you use yarn from our Shop - in whatever weight you wish and for whomever you want. Each Club session after that will feature a new hat with a new technique. We will announce each hat at the end of the previous session so you have time to pick your yarn and swatch!
