The Shop

It has been wonderful to be back open and we think we have worked through all the necessary protocols and practices to make the Shop safe for all of you and the team.  Again, all we ask is that you wear a mask and use our hand-sanitizer when you come in.  You do not need an appointment to shop.  We hope that those of you who have been in for a visit are getting used to the "new look" of our one skein of every yarn in every color and truthfully we are enjoying not having to restock every night!  People still ask is this all we have - and we reassure them that we have lots more available downstairs!  Plus we are getting a good workout up and down the stairs.

We are going to make a few adjustments to our hours for the remainder of the Summer.
Tuesday - 10 am to 7 pm
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday - 10 am to 5 pm
Sunday and Monday - Closed

Classes and Help Sessions

Our Classes continue via Zoom.  Classes are $12 each, but we ask you to sign up for a Class Card either on-line or by calling the shop.   We will charge your account for a class only when you attend.  You do not need to sign up in advance.  The Classes are held on:

Tuesday Morning - 10 am to Noon
Meeting ID 188069387 / PW 745807

Tuesday Night - 7 to 9 pm
Meeting ID 882714910 / PW 561149

Friday Morning - 10 am to Noon
Meeting ID 273124034 / PW 301639

We are also offering in-person one-on-one Help Sessions at the Shop.  Please call to make an appointment with one of us.  The cost for these sessions is $15 for 30 minutes.

We know how much everyone wants to be back in the shop for our Group Classes, but we are trying our best to be responsible and protective of our clients.  At this point, we do not know when we will be offering these Classes, but we are constantly reviewing the situation.

Sweater Club

A new year of Sweater Club is about to begin this August and we ask that, if you haven't done so already, please sign up for your new or renewed membership.  When you do, please make sure we have your address.  We will be sending out a packet of information on all of our past sweaters.  Once we have announced the new sweaters, we will be sending more information about the patterns and yarn options for those of you who may not be able to come into the shop.

We will be making a few changes to Sweater Club given our Virtual meetings.  We are looking at possibly having sessions every two weeks instead of once a month.  We will also be segmenting the sessions into a Class Segment and then a Review Segment.

The Class Segment will focus on the fundamentals of the Sweater Process and the specifics of the Sweaters we on which we are working.  For example, the first Class segment will be on Gauge and Casting-on.  Unlike previous years, you may not be able to come into the shop for me to measure your gauge and so we are going to spend some time on that.  Also, there are so many ways to cast-on, we will review the ones that will work best with your project and why.
As we progress, we will do a Class segment on reading a Chart, working Cables, making lace, etc.  Because we are distant, I want to make sure everyone is learning and honing their skills as they make their sweaters.

We will be announcing our Fall Sweater(s) at the August sessions which will be on
