Sweater Club

Our Sweater Club will be meeting
Thursday (today), 12th September from 1-4 pm or 6-9 pm
or Saturday, 14th September 1-4 pm.
We will be reviewing were everyone is on the current sweater projects,
as well as revealing our sweaters for the next session of Sweater Club.
We can't tell you what they are yet until they are officially announced, but we
can tell you that we have listened and have included sweaters for our
Gentlemen as well!
The sweaters we have chosen include all shapes and sizes, and sweater that will look great on everyone.

How Sweater Club works:

Annual membership fee of $50 - starts with the September/October meeting
You will be eligible to participate in any or all of the Sweater Club choices held during the year – Club will support two club sweaters per year.
You will receive a 20% discount on the yarn for the chosen sweater.
You will receive a 10% discount on other yarns purchased throughout the year, excluding special orders.
You will be able to purchase the pattern book(s) at 30-40% off should the pattern appear only within a book. Otherwise, you will receive copies of the patterns for free. You will also receive all notes we have developed for chosen sweater such as charts, etc.
You will be able to attend all meetings and/or classes for the sweaters.
The Class will meet monthly. There will be three sessions from which to choose depending on your schedule. The times for the class sessions are:
1. the second Thursday of the month at either 1.00-4.00 pm or 6-9 pm
2. Or the following Saturday afternoon from 1-4 pm.
The first steps after choosing your sweater will be:
1. Choosing your yarn.
2. Doing a gauge swatch to be certain you are using the correct needles.
3. Taking measurements to determine the proper size to make and any shaping considerations.
4. Deciding about any alterations to the pattern.
If you should need additional assistance, please come to one of our other classes or help sessions and we will do our best to keep you on track.

We have absolutely loved Sweater Club and more importantly have been thrilled in
seeing all the amazing sweaters our Club members have produced.

We Have A FEW SEATS LEFT...
2019 NY Sheep and Wool Festival - Rhinebeck, NY - Saturday, 19th October
Note - don't fear the bus - we will not be using the Bus Company from last year!

    We still have A FEW seats available on our second bus traveling out to Rhinebeck for this year's festival. The price will be the same as in the past, $100.00 for the day including the bus, treats, etc. If you haven't traveled with us before on this excursion, we begin and end our journey from the Anderson Regional Transportation Center in Woburn, leaving at 6.30 - 7 am and returning at 9.00 pm. If you want to ensure you have a seat, please click for Events which is at the bottom of the Classes section. There is a non-refundable $50 deposit to reserve your seat. If you want more information, please give us a call or email.

For those who have paid their deposit, the balance is due by 20th September. You can pay the balance on our website.

On-going Classes / Drop-in Sessions plus Social Night

We offer a variety of Classes and Drop-in sessions Knitting, Crochet, Weaving, and Spinning.

Drop-in Sessions provide a qualified teacher to guide you through the start of a new project, a project problem,or learning a new technique / skill. Drop-ins are offered weekly on:

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Mornings from 10 am to noon
Wednesday Afternoon from 1 to 3 pm
Tuesday Evenings from 7 to 9 pm (both Knit & Crochet)
Friday Morning from 10 am to noon for Crochet

The cost of a Drop-in Session is $15 for a Single Class or $ 60 for a series of 5 Classes
for use when you need to use them.

Social Night is open from 6-9 pm to all who want to come and knit, crochet, spin and chat.
Spinners join us on a particular Thursday evening once per month.
The next two spinning nights will be on Thursday, 8th August
and 5th September.
